On this page we describe reproducible events of the most recent CRM Business Notes version. We talk about the background and if available an appropriate workaround. This page allows you to use them from within the app.
2016-08-26 - Error on Update to iOS 9.3
the recent update to iOS 9.3 seems to contain a non-documented code change, which may lead to a crash during the CRM Business Notes launch procedure. In such a case simply reload the newest version of CRM Business Notes from your purchase and install it 'over' the existing iPad version. By doing this, all your data will stay.
2015-10-25 - Bug in iOS 9
the latest operating system update to iOS 9 appears to contain an error that can cause CRM Business Notes not to load files from the Internet. Essentially that affects the retrieval of an internet link list that controls the Online help. A workaround that bypasses the OS error is currently in progress. - IOS8 devices are not affected.
Workaround: meanwhile you can find the content of the Online Help 1: 1 also on our websites at www.mtbrain.de.
2014-08-24 Version 3.4.3
we recognized an error at the very first Dropbox installation. This can lead to an uncomplete preparation of the respective Business Notes folder on your Dropbox Server. Later operations with that Dropbox-Folder might not worked corretly (like DataExchange and Report Exchange). A bugfixed version has been provided to the AppStore and will be available within the next days.
As a workaround you can create the Dropbox folder hierachy manually on your Dropbox Server manually. After that step reconnect BusinessNotes with Dropbox by utilizing the Dropbox Login screen.
2014-08-16 Version 3.4.2
CRM Business Notes calendar:
If the automatic iTunes Store Update on 3.4.2 does an install on a previous version which is still in background - it may cause error messages when you create a Business Notes calendar.
Workaround: Close all web calendar (eg Google or Yahoo), take CRM Business Notes completely down (2x home button, then remove Business Notes from memory) and restart it.
Note: this method should be perform as precaution with every update, because that automatic update from Apple no longer terminates the Apps! Databases can be characterized in an undefined state.
Performance problems with large data sets:
Large data sets, especially imported address books with more than 300 entries, brings also the latest iPads to the limit of memory and performance. Poor scrolling performance or even crashes can occur in such a case.
Workaround: Reduce the scope of the imported address data and avoid large image or file attachments in event documents.
Starting with version 3.4.3, we will bring a fix that portions large datasets and thus leads to a non-critical memory usage.
